April 2025 Decided to revisit this restaurant for a hamburger. We arrived on a Sunday about 12 noon. There was a DJ getting ready to play music outside, and the inside was busseling with people. We ordered our food ( a hamburger and a cheese burger) and lucky for us if you ordered 2 hamburgers, you received a medium-sized fries for no charge. We found a table and were seated. Our food arrived within a few minutes (about 10). I quickly put some complimentary pico de gallo that contains serrano pepper ( a little spicy but good ). All was good and delicious. I've add some additional pictures and videos. Hope you decide to visit and enjoy. Jan 2025 Decided to stop by Chris Madrid's with a friend for a burger and fries. We were greeted and advised by Jacob, who was tending bar, we could order outside or go inside and order. We decided to go inside to order, were greeted, and our order was taken. We each ordered the old-fashioned burger. So, nothing fancy, and we ordered a large basket of fries and fountain drinks. We were then given a buzzy to let us know when our food would be ready. It was a nice day, low 60s & sunny, so we decided to sit outside. After about 10 minutes a young man brought us our food. I know it doesn't work this way all the time, because on other occasions, when it's busy, you have to get your "ready" food at the counter. We had already gotten our drinks from the soda fountain inside, napkins, utensils, and for me some picadillo for my burger. Everything was good, the service, the weather, the staff, and the food - burger and fries. I'm definitely going to be returning and will look for to my next visit. I hope that if you decide to visit this place that your experience will be as good as mine.

I really liked the food and the atmosphere. Service was good fast and friendly. I had a burger and fries and it was delicious. Very clean

It's been a long while since I've last visited, but I had good memories from last time. I went on a Saturday afternoon, and while it was busy, Chris Madrid's did not disappoint. The parking lot was almost full, but found an open spot towards the back. The order line was long, but it moved fast. Military discount. Most tables we full, but managed to find one in a minute or two. Inside and outside seating. Drinks are self-service. Food came out in about 7 minutes and was so fresh. The Cheddar Cheesy burgers are fantastic, and I love the fresh cut fries. I'm so glad I came back. It was a fantastic meal. I'll be back!

I have been coming to Chris Madrid’s since I was little and it was very exciting to come with my boyfriend here for his first time to celebrate his little brother’s birthday! He ordered the macho cheddar cheesy and I got the cheeseburger and we got a plate of fries to share for the table. And it was all for a very reasonable price. Much cheaper than comparable locations in San Antonio. The food was absolutely delicious. His brother said it’s the best burger he’s ever had. All of the workers were very polite and helpful. And the lighting outside with the park benches was a very cozy and nice setting for us to enjoy our meal. :)

We have always enjoyed coming here.its a go to place us when friends are visiting. The burgers are large and shareable. They do fresh cut fries but we don’t care for them. We always get a burger and the nachos to share. I forgot to take pictures until after we started eating. Many times we when been there has been live music.

Absolutely amazing! By far the best burger restaurant in town! Prices may be a little up there, but still a pretty damn good burger! Food: 10/10 The food was absolutely delicious, my burger was freaking FAT and STACKED! Overflowing with flavor, and super juicy! Probably the best burger I’ve ever had! And the shake too was absolutely delicious, it’s definitely up there with Burger Boy shakes (my favorite shakes) Service: 10/10 Great service, just wished I was informed that the burger themselves are 10, I felt like I was kind of duped when I realized everything was separate BUT ALL IN ALL really great service! Atmosphere: 10/10 Really nice atmosphere, really spacious and not too loud. It gets very busy but that’s because it’s super freaking GOOD! The staff seem friendly and it’s really big, even the outdoor seating it nice! Overall I had a great first experience and will consider going again on another payday!

Hosted my retirement party at Chris Madrid’s on April 11 with 60 guests—and it was a hit. We reserved both party rooms, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Beatrice was fantastic to work with—always responsive and on top of the details, even when we had a dozen questions (and probably asked a few twice). The food and drinks were excellent—classic Chris Madrid’s quality—and our guests really enjoyed it. A lot of folks had never been before and left asking why they waited so long. Pretty sure the place gained a few new regulars that night. Thanks to the whole team at Chris Madrid’s for helping make the night special. Great food, great service, great memories.

A great mainstay to San Antonio! I’ve visited this place many times over 20 plus years. The burgers are still some of the best in town. From the basic cheeseburger to the cheddar cheesy and the famous tostada burger, you won’t be disappointed. The full bar is great and the staff come thru quickly to clear your plates and baskets as soon as you finish. The atmosphere is lively and a great place for family and friends to gather and visit. Highly recommend if you visit San Antonio or if you’re local and haven’t been yet! Great job to the staff and team at Chris Madrid’s!
